Cedar Valley Pathologists may enter into contractual agreements with hospitals, physicians, and laboratory entities where our board certified pathologists acting in accordance with federal and state regulations, fulfill the duties and responsibilities of medical director and/or technical consultant.

Clinical Laboratory Directorship Services

  • 24-hour availability for telephone consultation with members of the healthcare team
  • Advice and assistance to maintain or enhance current laboratory service levels
  • On-going review of quality control and quality-assurance records
  • Pathologist participation with laboratory inspections and medical staff meetings
  • Written consultation reports with recommendations
  • Scheduled outlying hospital and clinic visits to supervise each clinical laboratory discipline
  • Continuing education for hospital and lab personnel
    • Our pathologists are actively involved in the education of Medical Laboratory Scientists at St. Luke’s hospital in providing lectures and demonstrations
  • Pathologists with training and supervisory experience in:
    • Hematology
    • Coagulation
    • Transfusion medicine
    • Chemistry
    • Microbiology
